Effective counters and smart play can turn this behemoth into an elixir liability. The Inferno Tower reigns supreme against the Golem. Its increasing damage melts the Golem, Golemites, and support troops. Place the Inferno Tower centrally to maximize its lifespan and draw the Golem away from your towers. A well-placed Inferno Tower can easily net you a positive elixir trade. Other strong counters include Mini PEKKA and Pekka. These high damage single target troops can quickly destroy the Golem. Place Mini PEKKA/PEKKA in the back once Golem crosses the bridge to kill it before Golemites are formed. A swarm of troops like Skarmy can also provide a decent trade, but make sure the opponent does not have a spell ready.
